This book has been produced to mark the tenth anniversary of music@villaromana. It is conceived as a reflection on the history of the festival and the cultural activity pursued to date with great dedication by the two artistic directors, Francesco Dillon and Emanuele Torquati, as a result of the close liaison established with the director of Villa Romana, Angelika Stepken. […] We felt that a book would be the best way of taking a snapshot of these first ten years of new sounds, commissions, collaborations and experiments. A modern travel journal, or an album of amiable sketches, encompassing dual spirits: one subjective and the other objective.
