This chapter draws attention to an anonymous three-voice setting of the Aspersion antiphon Vidi aquam in the Roman source San Pietro B.80. It has several characteristics which prompt worthwhile comparison with chant settings by Binchois, and also comparison with other works in the same manuscript which seem to be imitations of established three-voice styles. However, despite such similarities, it seems likely that the piece was not written by Binchois, but in conscious imitation of his style.
