The students of the Singing School of “L. D’Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara met Soprano Carmela Remigio during a masterclass on The Italian School from Baroque to Verdi, entrusted to her by the Institution.
One of the students spoke on behalf of her colleagues asking the questions and curiosities that had aroused students’ interest on the artist’s point of view based on the perception and the meaning of the Opera in contemporary society. Art in the contemporary world, the approach to music and Opera itself became the themes that brought the debate even to deal with issues concerning the education of young musicians and the analysis of some aspects of higher educational training programmes, 20 years after the Conservatory reform process.
